On 25 October, a group of students from Felpham Community College flew off to Malaga in Spain for a 5 day trip to Jaén in southern Spain. After a visit to Malaga beach for a picnic and some games, the group enjoyed a walking tour of the city and a lovely meal at a Spanish restaurant before driving to Jaén where everyone was asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow in our comfortable hotel!
In the morning, the group met up with their penpals from IES Fuente de la Peña High School in Jaén for a morning of bilingual activities followed by a Scavenger Hunt, getting to know the beautiful city of Jaén.
On Saturday the English group set off for Granada and after a guided tour of the fabulous Alhambra Palace, visited Granada Science Park and enjoyed a meal in a lovely Spanish restaurant.
On Sunday after a visit to the Castillo de Santa Catalina, we enjoyed a lovely countryside walk despite the unusually bad weather! The day was rounded off with a great fun evening disco together. Loads of dancing and having fun together!
On Monday, the English group waved Jaén “adiós” before heading off for a final day sightseeing in the fantastic city of Madrid and flying home having had a brilliant trip.
