IES Jabalcuz visit Priory School, 14th – 21st June 2016

41 Jabalcuz students spent a great week with Priory students in Lewes in June this year taking part in an exciting programme of bilingual activities;

‘The Board Game project was very fun.’ Ana

‘Regent’s Park is beautiful and there were many thing to buy in Camden Market.’ Pablo

All the Spanish students stayed with host families from Priory School and for many this was the highlight of their trip;

‘My host family are like my second family.’ Pablo

‘My pen pal was very kind and what I liked most about the trip was meeting new people.’ Irene

It was a pleasure to welcome IES Jabalcuz back to Lewes and we look forward to next year!

Bishop Luffa to Collège Jean Jaurès, Le Touquet, 3rd – 6th June 2016

A group of Year 9 and 10 students from Bishop Luffa had a great, ‘hands-on’ experience in Le Touquet this June.

Here are two students learning how to make a croissant!

Other trips included a visit to a Sea life Centre, a French market and a Snail Farm,

‘The snail farm was tasty, fun and interesting.’ Adam

‘I loved seeing the animals at the Sea Life Centre.’ Mary

But the highlight of the trip was meeting up with and getting to know the French students from Collège Jean Jaurès,

‘The disco with the French students was absolutely incredible, loved every second.’ Sian

‘The best thing about the trip was meeting the French students as it challenged my French skills.’ Ben

‘The trip helped with my French loads and I made new friends.’ Lily

IES Vicente Aleixandre to St Andrews, Worthing 8th – 15th March 2016

Vicente Aleixandre students jumped right into all the activities with great energy and enthusiasm! This is a photo of them dressing up at Lewes Castle; really living the moment!

A great time was had by all and everyone got a chance to practise their English,

The St Andrews boys also really enjoyed meeting their Spanish pen pals and new, international friendships were made,
