Bexhill Academy to Le Touquet, 28th – 30th June 2017

A group of 30 Bexhill Academy students spent 3 days in the North of France immersing themselves in French culture; from making a croissant to eating snails!  They had a great time getting to know their French pen friends from collège Maxence van der Meersch during the bilingual school activities and the bowling afternoon.

Mrs Lindsay, the trip leader, was really pleased to see how well her students interacted with the French youngsters.  It really brought the language alive for them and it was lovely to see the group grow in confidence over the course of the trip.

A la prochaine!

IES Fuente de la Peña visit Davison CE High School for Girls, Worthing 20th – 27th June 2017

Once again, Davison kindly hosted IES Fuente de la Peña school group when 48 Spanish students visited Worthing from Jaén in the South of Spain.  The 48 Year 9 and 10 Davison girls who were chosen to act as Junior Euro Reps had a great time getting to know the Spanish visitors through a range of bilingual games and activities.  It was the perfect way for the girls to practise their Spanish and for the Spanish students to practise their English; by making friends with each other!  Activities included a Carousel of Team Building Games, a Quiz Extravaganza, a day trip to London and an afternoon of bowling.  It was a very busy week and everyone was sad when it was over.
