Davison C of E High School for Girls visits Le Touquet, 30th June – 4th July 2016

40 Davison girls had a fabulous 5 day trip to Le Touquet in Northern France where amongst many other things they tasted snails, made a croissant and explored the pretty seaside town with their French pen pals during the Scavenger Hunt. The highlight of the trip for many was the Sunday spent with the pen pal’s family;

‘The best thing about the trip was the day with the family as I really got to know them better and I have made an amazing new friend.’ Amberley

‘The best thing about the trip was the day with my pen pal because I experienced lots of French things.’ Freya

The French students joined in with lots of the events and the final day disco was a big hit;

‘The disco was so much fun especially with the pen pals!’ Daisy

IES Santa Catalina, Jaén and East Midlands Academy, Foz visit Worthing, 21st – 28th June 2016

This year a mixed group visited Davison C of E High School for Girls in Worthing consisting of 30 students from IES Santa Catalina, Jaén and 9 students from East Midlands Academy in Foz, Galica.

Bilingual fun was had by all and many of the Spanish students wished that they could stay longer;

‘I love the feeling of staying here, it was incredible! I want to stay!’ Ana

‘I spent a very good time here and I will remember it all my life.’ Pablo

The group gelled well together and enjoyed all the exciting activities.

IES Jabalcuz visit Priory School, 14th – 21st June 2016

41 Jabalcuz students spent a great week with Priory students in Lewes in June this year taking part in an exciting programme of bilingual activities;

‘The Board Game project was very fun.’ Ana

‘Regent’s Park is beautiful and there were many thing to buy in Camden Market.’ Pablo

All the Spanish students stayed with host families from Priory School and for many this was the highlight of their trip;

‘My host family are like my second family.’ Pablo

‘My pen pal was very kind and what I liked most about the trip was meeting new people.’ Irene

It was a pleasure to welcome IES Jabalcuz back to Lewes and we look forward to next year!
